Father's Day
Father's Day is coming. Tiago wants to give him this nice present.
Father's Day is very nice because we spend more time with our father.
It is also a super day because we can offer him gifts. I am going to offer him this one:
Hey Father!
I am here to tell you that I love you and that you are the best father in the world and in the universe. I would like you spend more time with me but I know you can't because of your work. So, I wish you a happy Father's Day.

THE PICNIC
Today we start the publication of one of the short collaborative stories.
They are beeing written by Portuguese and Welsh netwriters.
The Portuguese version is here.
George lived with his mum and dad and his big sister Bethany.
It was George's 7th birthday and he was given a book called "Art Attack". He had a poster of his favourite football team, England, and a computer game. It was a really hot day and mum said:
- We are all going on a picnic!
George and Bethany cheered and were really excited:
- You're the best mum and dad, "fanjollytastic".
Mum made ham sandwiches and lemon cakes. She put everything in a picnic basket. Everyone got into the car and drove to the park where they found a place to have their picnic.
While George was eating his sandwich he saw a poster saying "Come to Billy's circus".
- Can we go mum? - George asked.
They all decided to go and have a look at the poster and, when they returned a few minutes later, they all had a fright. Eating their sandwiches was a grizzly bear.
- What are we going to do? - George cried.
(writen by Shannon and Paige, 3th class, Heulfre Junior School, Denbigh North, Wales, UK )
- Stay calm my son. - said mum.
- I know what we should do. - added daddy.
- What!? What!? - asked Bethany.
But, before daddy could answer, the bear made a strange noise and started looking in a strange way at the sandwich. He threw it in the air and George understood that the bear could be vegetarian and shouted:
- This bear is V-E-G-E-T-A-R-I-A-N!
- Are you crazy or what? - shouted Bethany - A vegetarian bear? Where has this type of animal been seen before?
- It can be true. - said a calmed down mum..
- George watches a lot of TV. Maybe he is right. Could it happen that there are vegetarian bears? - added daddy.
(writen by Ana, Joana, Claudia, Eduardo, Joana Filipa and Vitor, 3th class, Escola E.B. 1 Junqueira, Vila do Conde, PT)
